Once again, the new year brings an increase in the minimum wage, which consequently affects the living expense standards for foreigners renewing their residence permits in the Czech Republic.

This year, the standards are as follows:

• For a single adult living in a rented apartment in Prague, a net income of 12,635 CZK will be sufficient for renewal in 2021.

Here are the detailed standards:

Minimum Subsistence Amounts (in CZK, per month):

• • For one person — 3,860 CZK

  • For the first adult family member — 3,550 CZK

  • For the second and each subsequent adult family member — 3,200 CZK

  • For a dependent child aged:

    • Under 6 years — 1,970 CZK

    • From 6 to 15 years — 2,420 CZK

    • From 15 to 26 years — 2,770 CZK

Living Expense Standards (net income):

• 8,775 CZK for one person

• 12,205 CZK for two people in the family

• 16,337 CZK for three people in the family

• 20,077 CZK for four or more people in the family
